Reviewers play a vital role in maintaining the scientific quality, integrity, and credibility of Mahakarya Journal of Health Sciences (MJHS). All reviewers are expected to conduct objective, fair, constructive, and timely peer reviews based on academic merit.
Reviewers are expected to:
Evaluate manuscripts objectively and impartially.
Maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts.
Declare any actual or potential conflicts of interest before accepting a review invitation.
Provide constructive comments that help authors improve the quality of their manuscripts.
Complete the review within the assigned review period.
Base recommendations solely on scientific quality without discrimination regarding nationality, gender, ethnicity, religion, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs.
Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts based on the following aspects:
The manuscript fits the aims and scope of the journal.
The topic contributes to the advancement of health sciences.
The study presents original ideas or findings.
The manuscript provides meaningful scientific contributions.
The work has not been previously published elsewhere.
The research objectives are clearly defined.
The methodology is appropriate and scientifically sound.
Data collection and analysis are adequate.
Conclusions are supported by the results.
Relevant and up-to-date references are used.
Citations are appropriate and sufficient.
The discussion adequately compares findings with previous studies.
Human or animal studies have received appropriate ethical approval.
Ethical standards have been followed throughout the research.
Any conflicts of interest are properly disclosed.
The manuscript is logically structured.
Tables and figures are clear and relevant.
Language is understandable and academically appropriate.
The title, abstract, and keywords accurately reflect the manuscript content.
At the end of the review, reviewers should recommend one of the following decisions:
The manuscript is suitable for publication with no or only minor editorial corrections.
The manuscript requires small revisions that do not substantially affect the scientific content.
The manuscript has scientific potential but requires substantial revisions before it can be reconsidered.
The manuscript has significant scientific, methodological, ethical, or presentation deficiencies and is not suitable for publication.
Reviewers must:
Maintain strict confidentiality of manuscript contents.
Not use unpublished information for personal research or advantage.
Not contact authors directly regarding the manuscript.
Inform the editor immediately if plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, or other research misconduct is suspected.
Decline the review if they have conflicts of interest or lack sufficient expertise in the manuscript topic.
Reviewers are requested to:
Accept or decline the review invitation within 7 days.
Submit the completed review within 14–21 days after accepting the invitation.
Inform the Editorial Office as soon as possible if additional time is required.
Mahakarya Journal of Health Sciences implements a double-blind peer review process. The identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process to ensure fairness and objectivity.
The Editorial Board highly appreciates the valuable contributions of reviewers in maintaining the quality of published articles. Reviewers may receive a certificate of appreciation upon request or according to the journal's policy after successfully completing the review process.
