Mahakarya Journal of Health Sciences (MJHS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity. All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism before entering the peer review process.
The Editorial Office uses Turnitin and Plagiarism Checker X to assess the originality of each manuscript. The similarity report is evaluated carefully by the editors, taking into account legitimate similarities such as references, quotations, standard methodological descriptions, and commonly used scientific terminology.
As a general policy, manuscripts should have an overall similarity index of no more than 20%. However, the Editorial Board evaluates each manuscript individually, and editorial decisions are based not only on the similarity percentage but also on the nature, source, and extent of the matched content.
The journal does not tolerate any form of:
Plagiarism
Self-plagiarism
Duplicate publication
Duplicate submission
Data fabrication
Data falsification
Improper citation or unattributed use of another person's work
If plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct are identified before publication, the manuscript may be returned to the author for revision or rejected outright, depending on the severity of the case.
If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the Editorial Board reserves the right to issue a correction, retract the article, notify the authors' affiliated institutions when appropriate, and take other actions in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics policy and the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality of their submitted work and for properly acknowledging all sources used in the preparation of their manuscripts.
