AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Authors are encouraged to read the following guidelines carefully before submitting their manuscripts to Mahakarya Journal of Health Sciences (MJHS).

A. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original, have not been published previously, and are not under consideration by another journal.
  • Manuscripts may be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Manuscripts should be 8–12 pages in length and prepared using the official MJHS manuscript template.
  • Manuscripts should be typed on A4 paper, single spacing, Times New Roman 12 pt, with 2 cm margins on all sides.
  • References and citations must be managed using reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote, following the IEEE citation style.
  • All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism before the peer-review process.
  • Manuscripts must be submitted through the MJHS Online Journal System (OJS).

B. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized in the following order:

  1. Title
  2. Author(s) and Affiliation(s)
  3. Abstract (150–250 words) and Keywords
  4. Introduction
  5. Methods
  6. Results
  7. Discussion
  8. Conclusion
  9. Acknowledgments (optional)
  10. References

Introduction

The introduction should explain the research background, problem statement, literature review, research gap, novelty, and the objectives of the study.

Methods

Describe the research design, participants or samples, data collection procedures, instruments, and data analysis methods clearly and sufficiently.

Results

Present the research findings clearly using text, tables, and figures where appropriate.

Discussion

Interpret the findings, compare them with previous studies, explain their implications, and discuss the strengths and limitations of the study.

Conclusion

Summarize the main findings, answer the research objectives, and provide recommendations where appropriate.

References

All references cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list and vice versa. Authors are encouraged to use recent and relevant references, with the majority derived from primary sources such as peer-reviewed journal articles. References must be prepared using IEEE style with a reference management application (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote).
