Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines — Journal of Health Sciences and Collaborative Care (JHSCC)

Scope and article types
Submit original research, evidence syntheses, case reports, or evaluated community health interventions relevant to evidence-based health sciences and collaborative care. Explain the implications for nursing, midwifery, nutrition, pharmacy, public health, patient safety, prevention, or health outcomes. Manuscripts must not be under consideration elsewhere. All authors must approve submission.

Language and preparation
Manuscripts may be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia. Provide an informative title, an abstract of 150–250 words, and 3–5 keywords. Use an editable word-processing file with clearly numbered tables and figures. The existing template is a formatting aid; any old journal title in the template must be updated for new submissions. Do not change published PDFs.

Original research
Include Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion, followed by acknowledgments where applicable, funding, conflicts of interest, author contributions, data availability, and references. Describe study design, setting, recruitment, sample size, instruments, outcomes, and analysis sufficiently for assessment. Distinguish associations from causal conclusions and report limitations and uncertainty. Reviews must describe search and selection methods; case reports must explain clinical relevance and protect patient identity. Community interventions require evaluative methods and results, rather than only activity descriptions.

Ethics and reporting
State ethics committee approval and reference number, informed consent, or a documented exemption where applicable. Obtain consent for publication of identifiable patient information. Report prospective clinical trial registration where applicable. Use reporting guidance appropriate to the design, such as CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, CARE, or COREQ. Disclose funding and the funder’s role, conflicts of interest, and relevant use of AI tools. Authors remain responsible for accuracy; AI tools cannot be authors. Do not disclose confidential participant data.

References
Use APA 7th edition consistently, as specified in the OJS submission guidance. Every citation must match a complete, verifiable reference. Include valid DOI links when available; never insert invented bibliographic details, placeholder author names, or unverified sources. Reference management software may be used.

Files for double-anonymous review
Upload a separate title page containing each author’s full name, affiliation, country, corresponding-author email, and ORCID if available. Remove author names, acknowledgments that identify authors, and identifying file metadata from the review manuscript. Provide editable tables, legible figures, and permissions for third-party material as needed.

Submission and decisions
Submit through this journal’s OJS submission system. Complete title, author, affiliation, abstract, keyword, and reference metadata carefully. Editorial screening precedes double-anonymous external review, with a minimum of two reviews. Revisions require a point-by-point response. Acceptance depends on scientific quality and ethical compliance; publication is not guaranteed.

Fees and licensing
Submission is free. The existing published APC is IDR 150,000 after acceptance. Readers have free online access. Authors retain copyright and grant first-publication rights; the journal’s configured license is CC BY-SA 4.0. The license displayed on each published article governs its reuse.
