Plagiarism and Originality Policy — JHSCC
Journal of Health Sciences and Collaborative Care requires original writing, accurate attribution, and transparent reporting of related work. Plagiarism, duplicate submission or publication, fabrication, falsification, and manipulation of citations or review are unacceptable. Authors must disclose overlapping manuscripts and identify reused methods, text, data, or images appropriately.
Editors assess originality before external review and may use available similarity-detection tools. A software percentage is not a verdict: quotations, references, standard terminology, methods, and the extent and source of overlap must be evaluated. A low score does not establish originality and a high score does not by itself establish misconduct. Tool availability and actual screening must be documented by the Editorial Office.
Where concerns arise, the editor requests an explanation and evaluates evidence confidentially. Outcomes may include clarification, revision, rejection, referral for institutional investigation, or a linked correction, expression of concern, or retraction after publication. Authors have an opportunity to respond, and conflicted editors must not decide the case. No article is silently removed or its scientific content replaced.
Authors must check all references and obtain permission for third-party material. Concerns should be sent to the Editorial Office through the Contact page, with specific supporting evidence.
