FOCUS AND SCOPE

Journal of Health Sciences and Collaborative Care (JHSCC) focuses on health sciences and evidence-based collaborative care. The journal connects clinical care, health promotion, disease prevention, patient safety, and improvements in individual, family, and population health.

Nursing: patient-centred assessment, symptom management, continuity of care, patient safety, and education that strengthens evidence-based practice and coordination across services.

Midwifery: maternal, reproductive, newborn, and child health; risk screening; respectful care; and coordination across referral pathways.

Nutrition: nutritional assessment, dietary interventions, adherence, and prevention or management of nutrition-related conditions integrated with clinical and community care.

Pharmacy: medication safety, rational medicine use, adherence, and pharmaceutical care delivered in collaboration with patients and healthcare teams.

Public Health: health promotion, disease prevention, community participation, epidemiology, and evaluation of programmes and services that support equitable access and coordinated care.

Relevant research from other health professions is considered when it clearly contributes to these priorities. Collaborative care may be studied directly through interprofessional practice or supported through discipline-specific evidence with explicit implications for coordinated care. Not every study must involve multiple professions.

The journal considers original quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research; evidence syntheses; case reports; and evaluated community health interventions. Manuscripts must explain their relevance to evidence-based practice, patient or community safety, or health outcomes. Descriptive activity reports without evaluative methods and conclusions unsupported by the study design fall outside these research priorities.
