RETRACTION AND CORRECTION POLICY

Retraction and Correction Policy — JHSCC

Journal of Health Sciences and Collaborative Care preserves the scholarly record and addresses post-publication concerns through documented editorial assessment. Authors and readers should report errors to the Editorial Office with evidence and the affected article details.

A correction identifies a remediable error and states the change, with a link to the article. An expression of concern may be issued where a serious concern remains unresolved during investigation. A retraction may be required when the work cannot be relied upon or serious publication-ethics violations are established. Editors consider current COPE guidance and provide affected authors an opportunity to respond.

Notices are clearly labelled, freely accessible, and linked to the affected publication. They identify the article and decision-maker and explain the reason objectively. The article record and status remain visible, rather than being silently removed or replaced. Scientific disagreement alone is not a reason for retraction.

Any exceptional removal for a substantiated legal or privacy reason requires a separately documented process and appropriate authority. Journal-title changes do not authorise retrospective rewriting of PDFs, alteration of historical dates, or deletion of records.
